Work on The Ordsall Chord started back in October 2015. The project’s main purpose was to create a link between Manchester’s main train stations for the first time; Oxford Road, Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria Station.
COWAP supported this major initiative with mobile welding / on site fabrication services as well as supplying various items of plant equipment.
We have recently finished working on the 40m Radcliffe and Redvales flood alleviation scheme which will better protect over 870 properties from the effects of flooding. Our role consisted of providing mobile welding and fabrication services. We also supplied various plant equipment to support the project.
Using our own in-house capabilities we have operated on major signaling project upgrades and have over 20 years experience in the field.
We have extensive experience of installing all types of signal structures in all manner of locations. We have partnering arrangements with many of the key signal structure providers. We have also established a partnering arrangement for the use of helical screw piles for gantry, cantilever and signal post bases .
